Vango Force Ten and nylon Extension flysheet.

Does anbody remember if the Mark 5 was the only tent i.e Mark 3, 4 and
5 which had an optional Extension flysheet?

According to the Vango website the Extension flysheet is no longer
available for any Foce 10 tents.

Mike from a recent conversatiion I think they intend yuo to use teh
adventure tarp, which is another 1.3Kg, But I have no idea how you are
supposed to fit it unless you carried an extra pole, or used walking poles.

Either way its only 2m long so not much use as a basha or hootchie, and I
can't think what else they would mean it for.

I agree, I don't understand how the the adventure tarp can fit onto a
Mark 5.

I am disappointed that Vango has stopped selling the Force 10
extension flysheet. The extension is useful but does seem to turn the
front of the tent into a greenhouse. It would have good to have the
option of a cotton extension.

There seems to demand for Vango Force Ten extension Recently, an
extension for Mark 4 sold for £132.00 after 23 bids.

Extension for my MK5 Tent.

This can be made to order by a Tent maker in Somerset. Quality is excellent.

Comes in a slightly heavier duty orange nylon fabric with the same fittings
etc. Roll on Spring/Summer.

No, I got nothing, sorry. I did manage to buy a Mark 5 extension on ebay but it cost £200 and needed reproofing. It is also quite thin after 30 odd years and I guess you would want something stronger. You obviously want more than the odd one for the scouts, so if you do get anywhere that will do you a batch I will have one (nylon or cotton).

Vango used to make both extended flysheets and flysheet extentions formk 3,4 & 5, not sure about mk2.
