Does anyone know if there is minibus parking at the Birmingham NEC, or
anywhere around it? Their website is completely useless.

Cost me £7.00 to park on Saturday - Vehicles of all shapes and sizes
were in the car park. Don't know if that helps.

Car Parks
The NEC has over 22000 car park spaces specifically for people
visiting, organising or exhibiting at The NEC. Car park charges may apply.
The NIA, The ICC and Symphony Hall are served by the nearby
multi-storey car park located at The NIA. Click here to view The NIA Car
Park facilities.
There are alternative car parking facilities within walking distance
of the venues located in Brindleyplace, Brindley Drive and Civic Centre. In
addition there are several other car parks in Birmingham city centre.
All five venues have designated car park spaces for visitors with
disabilities. More information can be found on our venue pages.
If you decide to travel by car, we recommend that you allow plenty of
time for your journey as there is limited pay and display parking at The
NIA.
i think the first paragraph may help, as they are saying that parking
is available for exibitors it would follow that they are expecting large
vehicles to require parking facilities therefore, i imagine a minibus would
present no problem also the coaches park there by the bucketload,if you are
still not sure i got their telephone number of the same website it is 0121

Yes, I got that too, but its not specific enough to state that there
is parking for vehicles 2m high, or which of the multitude of carparks
are suitable. I did manage to find, though, the location of a truck
park.
For example, Nottingham Arena has lots of car parks mentioned on its
website, but they are all multi-story, which would make the minibus a
convertible. Only with insider info do you find that there is parking
for minibuses and coaches in the Notts CC depot directly opposite the
arena. But this requires prebooking, too.
Coach parks often require prebooking. No mention of that on the NEC
website. Phone number goes to a robot!

they really seem to make it hard work to give them your money don't they
Steve,
I've taken coachloads to the NEC several times, the coach or minibus
gets directed to the coach park, the driver pays the fee and that's
that. The coach park is nearer the doors than the car parking, so
there is no free busride to the exhibitions - at least not when we
have been.

Ewan,
thats exactly the info I needed- thanks. I have an adverse reaction to
driving around in circles looking for a parking space for a minibus.
