Does anyone know of a good source for marine ply?

I only want one sheet of 4mm for a repair.

Rather depends where you are.

Good specialist boatbuilders' timber merchants include
Robbins (Bristol) <URL:http://www.robbins.co.uk/>
Hulley Marine (Dumbarton) <URL:http://www.hulley-marine.co.uk/>
SL Hardwoods (Croydon) <URL:http://www.slhardwoods.com/>

However, the cost of transporting one sheet of 4mm any distance will
greatly exceed its worth, and the risk of it being damaged in transit
is high. You'd be much better going down to your local timber yard and
seeing what they can do you in the way of BS 1088. It most likely
won't be as good as Robbins or Bruynzeel, but it will be good enough.
even WBP is good enough for many purposes providing you're using epoxy.

Ridgeons in Cambridge also do BS1088.

I got some perfectly reasonable marine ply at Jewsons a few years
back.

Try your local timber merchants. They'll almost certainly be able to
sell something with a BS1088 stamp on it. It's unlikely to be as good
as Robbins or Bruynzeel, but it should be adequate.

It was Jewson's in Oxford (near the railway station, iirc) which sold
me marine ply.
