A vacancy has arisen for a Technical Controller on IPC’s award-winning
Yachting and Boating World Website (http://www.ybw.com)
Key duties and responsibilities:
To co-ordinate the management of all technical, software, IT and
logistical processes, to ensure the smooth running to the IPC Yachting
Websites (http://www.ybw.com).
To maintain and develop effective publishing systems for web based
editorial and advertising content.
The successful applicant will have at least one years experience in
dealing with UNIX web server systems in a commercial environment;
knowledge of CGI and Perl programming; experience with web databases;
basic HTML as well as some knowledge of FileMaker Pro (or other desktop
databases).
He/she will work to the highest standards of quality in customer service
both internally and externally. Maintaining team work, ideas generation
and practical problem solving skills are also fundamental to this role.
The position is based at IPC’s South Bank offices (King’s Reach Tower,
London, SE1).

Do you know that to ask a UNIX pro to submit a CV in MS Word 95 is almost

Ah yes. Still, the people who will actually read the CV in the first
place will have to read it via cc:mail. UNIX may be a mystery to the
