How to Install Snow Leopard 10.6.1-10.6.2 on Intel and AMD Computers
Snow Leopard 10.6.1-10.6.2 is a modified version of Mac OS X that can run on Intel and AMD processors. It was created by a hacker named Hazard, who also made other versions of Mac OS X for non-Apple hardware.

In this article, we will show you how to install Snow Leopard 10.6.1-10.6.2 on your Intel or AMD computer using a DVD or a USB drive.


What You Need

A computer with an Intel or AMD processor that supports SSE2 and SSE3 instructions.
A DVD burner or a USB flash drive with at least 8 GB of space.
A blank DVD or a USB flash drive with at least 8 GB of space.
The Snow Leopard 10.6.1-10.6.2 ISO image file, which you can download from various torrent sites.
The ModCD bootable disc, which you can download from osx86.net.
A backup of your important data, as the installation will erase your hard drive.

Step 1: Burn the Snow Leopard 10.6.1-10.6.2 ISO Image to a DVD or a USB Drive

You may need to type some boot flags depending on your processor and hardware configuration.


For example, if you have a dual core processor, you may need to type rd (0,0)/Extra/modbin_kernel bustratio=16 arch=i386 and press Enter.


If you have a six core processor, you may need to type rd (0,0)/Extra/modbin_kernel bustratio=16 -force64 and press Enter.

Step 4: Format Your Hard Drive and Install Snow Leopard 10.6.1-10.6.2
Once you boot from the Snow Leopard 10.6.1-10.6.2 DVD or USB drive, you should see the Mac OS X installer screen.


Click Utilities and select Disk Utility to format your hard drive as Mac OS Extended (Journaled).


After formatting

After formatting your hard drive, close the Disk Utility and select your hard drive as the destination for the installation.


Follow the onscreen instructions, but before clicking the Install button, click Customize to select the appropriate options for your hardware.


For example, you may need to select a specific kernel, bootloader, drivers, patches, and fixes for your processor, chipset, graphics card, sound card, network card, etc.

Step 5: Reboot and Enjoy Snow Leopard 10.6.1-10.6.2 on Your Intel or AMD Computer
Once the installation is complete and successful, you will be asked to reboot your computer.


During the reboot, swap the Snow Leopard 10.6.1-10.6.2 DVD or USB drive with the ModCD disc again.


You will need to boot from the ModCD disc again to boot into Snow Leopard 10.6.1-10.6.2.


Select your hard drive and type the same boot flags as before.


You should see the Mac OS X welcome screen and be able to set up your user account and preferences.
