I've just dropped in here, after a PC crash I reloaded Mozilla
thunderbird but didn't get round to putting on the newsgroups.

I've been very busy at work with whole new things happening so have had
little time to post on usenet plus two daughters doing exams really cuts
down on pc time!!. My running continues , I did the Milford 21 mile XC
in Cannock Chase and it was a killer , the week after I did Rhyader
round the lakes 20 with it's punishing climb into the hills around the
Elan valley. I've pushed myself out to 3;40 runs but can only manage two
runs a week - 2 - 2.5 hours Thursday morning and 3+ hours on a Sunday
and thats it , I've only been to the gym three times in the last month!.

I did a fast 14mile xc/rural race - the Equinox run in Northampton shire
last week and though it was hilly managed a 1:53 easily with little
effort. I feel my original goal of 4:00 for the marathon has to be
tempered to 4;20 given my lack of speed training but at least with my
longest training run with some RW forumites of 23 miles (some XC) will
hold me in good stead.

I've enjoyed the training but don't feel I can really do the distance
justice with so little training. I think I may stay at Half/10mile/10K -
it'll need less hours .

Cheers!

I hear what you're saying; seems to me you've put in enough to still be
running at mile 26... your x-country 21 has to reassure you some. How
long did the Cannock Chase run take?

Has you leg trouble kept away despite you longer training runs?

I know you say you prefer the shorter distances, or at least the
training for them, but did you consider the JW ultra this year...
canals...30 miles..tempted??

Good luck with The Shakespeare.

Forget the JW Ultra...just looked - it's already full, unless your
tempted to run the relay version!

F'ing nightmare of hills hills and more hills - 3;39 - I lost it badly
at 13 miles when the hills started then hobbled the rest of the way.

Rhayader round the lakes 20 was much better - ran all the way including
the steep hils and reeled in many back markers in 3:30

Not at all , I've been very lucky indeed , but then again I've done a
lot less training .

Sofa,
I want to make love to you, like no other man has (and i know there's
been plenty before me) and take your manhood in my rear.
