I dug the hole in the ground with a post hole digger. It was 6 feet deep.
With my luck a frog jumped down in the hole. I said, "Well froggie, there's
only one way to get you out of there. It's risky for you I know, but it's
the only way." So I threw the post hole digger down into the hole, pulled
the handles, raised it back up out, and what do you know. There was my
little buddy unharmed. I let him loose to hop away.
The hole was for my utility pole. The pole is made of wood and is about a
foot in diameter.
The years went by and the pole began to get stalked by Poison Ivy Vines. It
crawled itself almost all the way up to the electric lines.
I am like that utility pole. My adversaries are like the Poison Ivy Vine.
No problem. I cut them off at the root with a 2" chisel and a claw hammer.
17 years of growth down the drain. 17 years of organized stalking rendered
useless. That part of them that stalked me is shriveling up and dying as I
write.
That's just too damned bad.
