I know the maximum exposure time on manual setting is 8 seconds. I
thought the same to be true when using the AE-II finder so I am
wondering whether the extra-long times I have been getting today are a
sign of a sticky shutter? Sub-one-second exposures and most of the
other speeds "sound" right but some of the very long auto-timed
exposures are going on for too long.
Temperatures here at the moment are in the range 36-40 deg C (South
America) so this may be out of the camera's comfort zone. I was taking
some low light, long exposure pictures and I know the shutter remained
open much longer than I expected on several occasions. I won't be
processing the film until I get back to Dear Old Blighty but in the
meantime, does anybody have any thoughts?
Thanks,
Nick
