Indeed the White Cockatoo proprietors need an awakening on how to treat
patrons. As publicans they rate the lowest & with their ever increasing
negative feedback, it will not be too long before these people are
either shut down, sued or even worst - retaliation to a far greater
degree !!
As a female I was subjected to ongoing verbal abuse for no justifiable
reason. Constant provocation by Tony Fox forced my stay at the Resort
to be reduced by a few days. Travelling a few thousand miles & being
treated with contempt due to a personal dislike for simply being
oneself, is no body's idea of a vacation.
This man (for lack of a better adjective) urgently requires counselling
in Anger Management. He fails to recognize the uniquess of an
individual's personality & unless he can hear his own voice only, no
other is permitted to voice an opinion without welcoming a
confrontation. He thrives on a tug-of-war game as to who is correct.
Unattractively challenging, cut throat & unstable is a polite
description for this speciman. An undesirable character in the
Hospitality Industry & with some perserverance through the appropriate
Authourities, this establishment will be scarred.
The White Cockatoo has not only lost a generous patron, but also those
that had been previously referred to this Resort.
Unless Tony Fox & his accomplice Lenore Fox change their tactics, life
is going to be one hard road maintaining friendships, patrons & a daily
existence.

Very sorry to hear of your unpleasant experience. You refer to "ever
increasing negative feedback". Where has this been published? I'd like to
read it.
My wife and I visited The White Cockatoo last year in September. We found
Tony and Lenore very helpful and full of stimulating conversation. Tony has
stongly held views on how to run a nudist resort, and told us he doesn't
like being told by guests how he should be doing it. As it happens, we
didn't try to tell him how to run the place, and had no problems.
September is the last month of their textile season (it's only nude from
October onwards), so I can't comment on issues relating to nudity on site,
but they did generously organise a boat trip just for us to the Barrier
Reef, so that we could snorkel nude. Brilliant.
We were thinking of returning during their nude season, but would like to
see any other "negative feedback" if it exists.

Tony sounds a bit like a Basil Fawlty to me. The guests are his paying
customers, if they have views on how they think things could be done better
then he should at least listen to their views politely. If he disagees with
their ideas he can explain, again politely, why. Or perhaps he's just one of
those people who cannot stand criticism however constructive. In which case
running a resort is possibly not the ideal job.

running it is egocentric; arrogant; childish and likes to think
controlling and proudly boasts he's been in jail. If he hasnt he will
end up there no doubt.
The second visit to the place I witnessed the brutality thrown on
paying customers. Fox's vocal inflictions on an innocent single woman
had her leave that same night. Another night during Happy Hour there
was a close punch-up between Fox and a male customer over an
altercation and Police were called.
Fox's narrow mindedness leaves much to be desired.
The wife prances about all smiles & flaunts a free spirit, yet daggers
lay deep: two- faced and deceiving. Inconveniencing a couple who had
been regulars 2 years in a row since the Fox's took over the resort
Lenore instructed this elderly couple where to wait and at what time
for a supposedly bus booking she had arranged that was to take them to
Cairns airport.
Lenore Fox had made no such booking.
This was to deliberately inconvenience the couple and it left them
waiting hours in the heat on the main street of Mossman for a bus that
was never to arrive.
Now if that isnt nasty; what is?

The White Cockatoo is not the Garden of Eden this forbiden apple will
encourage the manager Fox to bite. Certainly not going alone now even
if with the booking made for next month. The Devil himself I dont need.
Sorry The White Cockatoo to cancel, but I will make alternative
arrangements.

If there is a problem finding it, I will gladly copy & paste to forward
for reading.
Apart from verbal abuse since submitting my complaint here on Google,
the management have sent insulting emails & made a very recent
anonymous telephone call with a threat of vandalism & harm.
Emails can be sent to this name at hotmail & all shall remain
confidential.
