There may be a few areas where people go, however Nudity on Jersey
beaches is illegal, several people were arrested last year although in
the past they have just been told to cover up.
I was not going to post the following just yet, but as the topic has
been raised then here goes.
About 10 days ago I was approached by Radio Jersey to do a broadcast for
World Naturist Day. I sent them a load of information on Naturism in the
Uk and Europe, including some of the results of the NOP poll. The Radio
station have got very interested, and having been talking to the island
legislature about the current situation and laws. They have also done a
vox pop on the island. The result of all this was a 15 minute broadcast
by me today about naturism, and the commercial possibilities if they had
such facilities. I did explain that apart from Malta, the Channel isles
were the only part of Europe that did not have naturist facilities. The
people at the Radio Station seem to be very pro and therefore it seems
that I may have, unwittingly, but not unwillingly, have started some
sort of campaign for naturist facilities.
If anyone wants to write to them then I suggest contacting the Chief
Executive Officer for Tourism.

Hmmm... sounds like progress :-(
Do you know whether they were charged / convicted? Was it purely for
being nude, no offensive behaviour of any sort?

Good :-) Keep us posted. It seems that naturist facilities are
becoming more likely to be used as a selling point for holidays, so
the Authorities should see it as just another plus point for tourism
on Jersey.
Good ! Well done
Kev
I'd just like to say well done, this is the sort of 'action' that
helps the cause.
