Put it on your Household Insurance with "all risks" and "new for old"
cover. Cheaper than a specialist policy

Yep, I'd agree with Tony on that one. Make sure it covers accidental damage,
and theft from an unattended vehicle.

That of course presumes the single item limit covers the cost of the
camera AND the total claim limit in any one category, covers the cost
of the camera. OK if you have a cheapie I suppose.

NEVER assume "all risks" covers all risks!!

Also good taken away from the home are also usually subject to small
print that limits the size of the claim!!

You may find your day trip out with £2k worth of equipment that is
stolen from the car, was a bit more risky then you thought. You may
only get enough cover to buy a new beach ball.

Then there are the muggings. If you have a rucksack snatched with all
your gear, you may well find only a small percentage is payable!!

Lifes a bitch.

READ the small print thoroughly & test out various scenarios & see
just how well you would ACTUALLY be covered in an actual event.

Watch out for the crafty Bas@~'## they ARE out to screw you!!
