As far as one can be sure from photos, your rush is Bulbous Rush
(Juncus bulbosus). Only one in the region that is almost constantly
viviparous (produces plantlets in the inflorescence, cf. photo on
right).

I did, and the sheaths contain whole plants, so it's viviparious.....well done.
