Tory member of Tewkesbury Council is/was member of 'notorious biker
gang', which appears to have got Sky News slightly excited.
Can't trust anyone these days!
I know, who'd have thought. A Tory! Biker gangs aren't what they used to be.

Many of the HA gang from the Forest of Dean became members of the middle
class establishment. I forget the name of the gang although I remember the
name of the psycho leader, Paul "Edge" Picket as he beat up my brother in
Coleford as mods from Monmouth shouldn't be going out with greabo chicks
from the Forest.

There is a certain logic to it - The word: Tory is derived from Toraidhe
which is Gaellic for outlaw.

your brother was a mod? Fuck me, and I thought your being a gay dad
was shameful enough.

d.
Brother is more shameless than shameful. I'm pretty sure Paul Abbott met
him some time in the late 90s early 00s.
Plausible. Chambers sez:
n: a Conservative (Brit politics); a bigoted or extreme Conservative; a
member of the English political party who opposed the exclusion of James II
from the monarchy in the 17c (hist); (in Ireland) a Roman Catholic, esp an
outlaw or robber, who preyed on English settlers in the 17c (hist); a person
who sided with the British in the Revolution (US hist).
adj: Conservative.
[Ir toiridhe a pursuer, robber; first applied to the Tories in Ireland;
next, about 1680, to the most hot-headed asserters of the royal prerogative]
