For users of this service, and news.fu-berlin.de, there is a reshuffle
happening with regard to its name and operation at Berlin University.
For personal users, it will become news.individual.net

Mr. M.
Again, current usernames and passwords remain valid and the core

You might have noticed that people who know about the german server
refused to post its name.
Why? Cause if we did there'd be thousands more people using it, YTC.

Eh? Given that they're the only people who dish out passwords, I'm sure
their sysadmins are more than capable of balancing demand and supply to
ensure a viable news service.

That's a new one on me. I've got a project progress meeting this afternoon

Well I'm leveraging my core competencies.
Let's put that on the motorway and see who runs it down.

Let's crochet a tea-cosy to keep the pot warm.
>Why? Cause if we did there'd be thousands more people using it, YTC.
So what's the problem with that? I suppose you are inherently selfish
and get all smug about the fact you know something someone else doesn't.
Don't get me wrong, I'm all for a private joke but this is for the
benefit of everyone you *utter twat*.
>Let's crochet a tea-cosy to keep the pot warm.
You just made that up, didn't you? Didn't you?

I've used this server for years with no problems what so ever. It was
because of my ISP's crappy news feed that got me onto it in the first
place :)
>See people having cars vs public transport. If everyone's got one then

OK, I see your point but I doubt if a few posters / lurkers will make a
whole lot of difference. Like your car analogy lots of people have cars
in London and it's gridlock whereas further afield the traffic flows
with a lot more ease.
>But I'm with simon - let them the newsserver team decide.
I'm sure they know what they're doing :)
I have a bit of trouble keeping a good thing to myself.
<thinks>
Better give the missus a good service..

Maybe. But it doesn't devalue my inertia-repositioning portfolio.

Such a wise head on such hunched shoulders.
>Er, ok. You do know other parts of the country have congestion

Err yes, I chose not to mention it as well :)
>And don't forget that ukrm is one of the busiest groups in the uk, and
>as such is likely to have far more posters/lurkers than
>uk.crochetting.hats.to.keep.the.pot.warm
I did forget that but took it for granted that traffic flow wouldn't be
a problem. Actually, on second thought, I never even considered it.
Lets flush that down the toilet and see what ends up on the beach...
