ConFused.com & Moneysupermarket.com produced pretty much the same
results so I thought I'd go to NatWest, Nationwide, Lloyds, etc. and
they all seem to use the same effing quote engine - the sites are
pretty much the same.
So it turns out that nomatter how many places I visit for insurance
quotes there are only two or three *real* websites that one fills in
and you get the same results.
Anti-competitive!

Asda were very cheap for me this year, and after Quidco I actually paid
£28.97.

have you looked to see if there are any decent quidco bribes from the list
of better quotees?
The Pru' gave me a decent quote[1] which included Green Flag cover.
Clicking through quidco got a further 90 quid off.

You were ripped off. Best quidco madness I had was a house policy from
Barclays. £117 premium, £120 quidco rebate, 1% cashback from Egg. No wonder
the fuckers are in trouble.
Asda were £200 more than my best quote, which was with Liverpool
Victoria.
I'll never understand insurance quotes. Obviously there are lots of
variables but they just don't make sense half the time.
Have you tried the Tesco compare thingy?
