Wow, Mark Williams eh? He's a blast from the past. I remember him writing in
"Bike" in the 70s, and also Hap Spoons, Tony Thacker, and LJK
Setright......i wonder who they really were, and where they are now?
Ahhhhh, the 70's eh? : )

So, when did he find time to appear on the Fast Show?
I'll get my coat...

Don't use a big word where a diminutive one will suffice

Seems to be involved in churning out vast numbers of hotrod/custom car
books.

I used to read his stuff in Car and the like, but I haven't seen anything
lately. That Rowena Hoseason reckons she wrote asking him to do a piece for
MotoRetro and didn't get an answer.
Setright is the man who suggested rescinding all motoring offences and
replacing them with one of "dangerous conduct". Seemed reasonable to me...

No no! TOG is large enough already.
This was a man who bought a brand new BMW K75. It was a slippery slope from
there on in.

Do I detect a hint of bitterness in that reply? Old Bastard! :-)
I remember reading LJK's review of the CX500 Turbo and whilst the bike was a
dog (until they introduced the 650), Leonard's bit of prose was fab. Please
note that I was a wide eyed teenager at the time.

What are you saying, exactly..?

Bunch of tossers. I stopped buying Car regularly about 7 or 8 years ago, it
had somehow become too overwhelmingly "XR3i" IYSWIM. Back in the days when
they were obsessed with Alfas and Ferraris and Porches and Citroens, and
they had Adam Stinson doing the layouts, it was a wonderful mag. Now it's
just the same as the rest. I imagine LJKS wasn't too sad about leaving.
