Bit bored with the Tuono and it was starting to ming a bit LOL

Wanted something I could commute on and have a laugh with on the FOF so a
compromise over handling and performance with practicality

And, I always have to have at least three bikes in the stable at once LOL

How are you finding the VFR?

I test rode one and I think it must have been a lemon because I *hated* the
handling.
It just did not give the confidence in the corners that the GSX-R did - and
it slid twice and I'm not exactly an aggressive rider.

I just don't see why it's a problem. I mean, once you know what it'll
do the novelty wears off. Well, it does for me.

I'll probably keep the VFR for at least another month and then see what's
next. That way it doesn't depreciate significantly and my investment
remains largely intact.

I quite fancy the new BMW 1200GS.

Since Feb '98.

I've only owned three bikes since Feb '92 and have owned a grand total

Actually I think it was the tyre - it was some sort of patched touring thing
that looked well past it's best.
That's why I was so disappointed, as the VFR has rave reviews everywhere -
but when I rode one it was a let done.

The brakes are superb though - and that was the non-ABS version.

That beats me. I bought Gamma in the crate in September 1983
and shipped her off to Canada. Left Canada 29/6/87 and she's not been
on the road (or registered) since. Black Kat is a 1990 bike, bought
new for CHF8,999 on 30/6/1991. I'm pretty sure I eventually sold all
the bikes I left in Oz...

Aye.

You appear (on a cursory scan) to have omitted "phat". Oh, and
"shite" - but apart from that, well done.

Up until May last year, I'd had one of my RD400s since April 7th 1990.
For the thick, that's just over 12 years.
