And when we got back last night, it wasn't on the mat either. Nor was
there a "We tried to deliver" note from any carrier.
So I called them this morning. "Oh, we've been so busy, we haven't
taken it off the bike yet...."

Yes, sent the wrong type of handlebar switchgear for the GT, it was and
early type without the clutch cut-out switch.
Swapped it no bother and were very helpful but not exactly quick.

They haven't nicked the part yet.
Thanks all.
Oh well, we'll see. If it doesn't arrive or turns out to be a load of
crap, I'll politely ask for a CC refund.
If they haver *one little bit* I'll tell them that I'm querying the
payment with the CC company. The amount involved is below the 100
Consumer Credit Act amount for joint and several liability *but* when a
payment is contested, the CC companies back-debit the seller 35-odd for
'administration costs'.
I've discovered in the past that pointing this out to dodgy sellers
often results in surprisingly sudden co-operation.

I ordered a SV fairing main stay from them after I threw my last SV
under a car, it was described as straight and undamaged. I saw some
pink writing on the ebay photo but couldn't read it and thought it
would be where they'd marked it as being from an SV.
The bracket arrives, and thats when I discovered that the pink writing
said..."BENT".
Naturally it was returned and I bought one from elsewhere. I have heard
similar stories so wouldn't bother using them again.

No sign of it still. Rang them this afternoon. Long period on hold,
after I'd told them I wanted a refund on the CC.
"We can either send it today or we can do the refund."
"So you still haven't actually sent it? I'll have the refund."
Allegedly this should be on my statement in three working days. I bet it
isn't.
What a bunch of arseholes.

Troo.
Trouble is, I've used Pathfinder before and they're usually great.
So when someone rings up in answer to a (paid-for) Partfinder search, I
tend to trust them.
And the latest. Despite two promises, no credit card refund has been
made. Partfinder has been in touch with them too, and they promised P/
F they'd make the refund. Hah.
MasterCard has placed the payment in dispute.
And this is their eBay negative feedback, just for the last *six
months*
Words fail me.

But even after you were watned, you still continued to ask and chase
for a refund that was never going to happen.

Only as good as the weakest link.

<Puzzled> Erm, what else is one expected to do? No goods, so of course
you ask for a refund. Actually, they offered it.
So now I've escalated it to a CC dispute, which means a rather better
chance of success for me, and considerable hassle and extra expense
for them, because the CC company charges the vendor for this.

Um, if you go back through the thread, you'll see that I'd actually
raised this as a course of action *before* your posting. But I do like
to give people the chance to deliver on their promises.
Anyway, Mastercard has flagged it as in dispute, Blacks has instantly
come back and said it takes three working days (which both I and
MasterCard agree is bollocks, as CC payments and credits are recorded
instantly), I've told Blacks that we are now *four* days after their
refund offer date anyway and that I'm not prepared to piss around. The
dispute stands. And I've pointed out that it's going to cost them, but
I'll lift the dispute if the refund is made today or tomorrow.
What an utter bunch of arseholes.
And the latest. Partfinder, unasked, has refunded me the £3.76 charge
for their service, which puts them to the top of my Good Guys list. I
wonder if they're putting any pressure on Blacks. No refund from
Blacks yet.
What ?
You did not read the negs before buying ? :-)
Oh, and they have been discussed here in the recent past as well.
I didn't buy it on eBay, YTC. :-)
