[OT] Holiday plans part 2 - wimmin!

J's decided to put the furniture hunting trip off 'til later in the
year, as she doesn't want to leave the new dog[1] for more than a week.
I however am determined to get away for the full 2 weeks, which leaves
the following options:

1. We both fly somewhere hot, J flies back after a week, & I either
stay there or fly somewhere else.
2. As 1, except I fly back with J then head off somewhere on the bike
for a week.
3. I ride somewhere hot, J flies out to meet me after a few days, then
she flies home & I ride back a few days later.

What say the FOAK? Option 3 seems the best on the surface as we'd have
transport during J's week, but where to go? I wouldn't want to do much
more than 1000 miles each way, so Italy or Croatia maybe? A villa by
the sea would be good.

I did option 3 with a mate of mine a couple of years ago, the ladies flew
down to meet us
worked really well, (well except for my mate writing off his bike)

I'm not FOAK (FOYRNB perhaps, or even KFA) but it's got to be 3.
Personally, I'd rather do fewer miles and enjoy the places en route a
little more.
