Lynda Weller has just been in touch with incredibly sad news.

"I am writing to you with the sad news that we lost Kevin on Wednesday to Pancreatic cancer - we only found out 4 weeks ago so it was all very sudden. Please can you tell the UKRM people who knew him. It would be great to see people at his funeral which is pencilled in for 27th Jan".

I'll update this when I know more.

I'm so sad, Kevin was a lovely, lovely guy.

AOL.

Had some lovely chats with him whilst he was planning a trip to Italy and
drew on my then recent experience about Amalfi & Paestum.

Sadly, they never managed to fit in a trip with the UKRM Old Gimmer group

RIP

Just "Kevin", I think. Maybe "Thewellers" on occasion?

Now I have been reminded elsewhere, I remember meeting him on a French run.
RIP Kevin.

Sorry to hear it. Never met him, but read a few of his blog postings
about the Iron Butt Rally.

RIP.

Poor lad, that's a horrible cancer to get. Condolences to the Weller family.

Kevin’s Funeral Arrangements:
27th January 2024, 2pm at Treswithian Downs Crematorium, Camborne, TR14 0BL.
If people are coming down there is accommodation nearby - £90 for 2 nights including breakfast. or there is a Premier inn nearby.
If Lynda could have an idea of numbers (if any?) that would be great. She's looking at venues where, if necessary, we can have 'family & close friends' plus space for any other people who may also want to come.
Also, she's arranging a family dinner in the evening, and would be great to also have everyone else sat down in the same place.
I'm going to do my best to be there.

This is indeed very very sad. I think I only meet him on French runs,
but he was, as you say, a lovely guy

Taking comfort from small mercies, I'm reading "we only found out 4
weeks ago so it was all very sudden" to mean that he had a relatively
quick end, which at least wasn't too drawn out.

Lynda has shared a website in Kevin's memory. If anyone would like to make a
donation to the Air Ambulance, I'm sure she'd be very grateful.
