.......certainly has been mounted there. Later ones were between the front
bumper and cross member, and equally difficult to get at.
Failure is a common problem.

I fancy one of those horns you get on the American trucks ;)

Funnily enough . . . I thought I'd replace the horn on my Peugot Boxer
2.8di Autosleeper Pollensa, since it sounds like a sick lamb bleating.
Bought a mini twin airhorn + compressor set from Halfords, which from the
instructions seemed easy enough to fit by using the existing horn connection
plus some extra high-capacity fused cable link and relay. Then I had to get
my better half to honk whilst I lay on the ground under the front axle, only
to find the existing horn completely inaccessible behind the spoiler, which
I didn't fancy the hassle of removing. After much cussing, I decided it
would be easier to leave existing horn in place and working for MOT's etc,
and add new dedicated wiring and an extra push button in a spare slot on the
dash to the right of the wheel, so I now have the choice of a bleat or a
blast . . .

The original horn is screwed to the box section that forms the lower support
for the radiator.
To access it, just pull off the trim white piece that is between the head
lights and the big wrap-round bumper and you will be able to see the horn at
the right of the radiator when looking at the van.
I fixed the small compressor to the beam with the same screws and connected
the two wires, job done.
Later I had a play with the old horn, it just needed the adjustment screw
turning about 1/4 turn and it worked again. I threw it in the bin.
