Forgive my cynicism but I'm always reluctant to buy from a Mom & Pop shop -
easily spotted because they expose their web page to the world without
bothering to check spelling or grammar. Selling through Ebay doesn't
exactly instill confidence either.
Look:
"TWIN 12-VOLT CIGARETE LIGHTER SOCKETS FOR GENERAL POWER FOR LIGHT'S,
PORTABLE T.V.'S, MOBILE PHONE'S, LAPTOP'S"
What's wrong with it?
Well, it's typed in ALL CAPITALS, with "cigarette" misspelt and no less
than four errant apostrophes. Careless.
Also suspicious is the lack of specification. It suggests 240 volt's (sic)
at up to 80 Watts but fails to give the duration.
A portable combined TV/Video uses typically 50 Watts so the suggestion of 4
hours running is pretty good. But I'd prefer the actual figures to be
quoted.
The unit *could* be quite useful but I'd like to know if it's a Chinese
import or just old stock being dumped. Lead acid batteries don't last
forever.
Finally, I'm amused by the "company" name: " NOTHINGS IMPOSSIBLE ".
I'm wondering if in fact that *should* have an apostrophe, in which case
the meaning would be quite different!
Sweet Nothings or Nothing is (Nothing's)?

I can imagine your last part of the advert got to some people.. 'you can
even start your car with it',
this being a motorhome group.. i.e vehicles slightly larger than cars,
anyone who has ever tried to use one of the sub £100 jump start packs to get
a van started with a flat battery will know..they're useless,
a 17 AH battery (what most of them have inside the case) can not put enough
power in a near flat 88 AH battery to do anything useful, especially if its
a diesel.. my engine takes 120 amps just for the glow plugs.. (6 of the
buggers... averaging upto 20 amps each), and then something like 280 amps
for the starter, when i tried it.. the battery was dead before the glow plug
light went out,
Sell them for light petrol cars, then yeah, ideal, (I'd personally push the
bugger tho' :),
The built in inverter wouldn't be much use to the motorcaravaning people I'd
say..most have a decent sized inverter in the van already.. hooked upto the
leisure battery, I'd rather get more than a few minutes of mains power from
a battery my self,
And it may be well that many companies use ebay to sell things.. (usually
the ones selling cheap goods, to cheap people :) but for every company
selling something on ebay..there are 10 con-men pretending to be selling
similar things,
not sure about you..but all i hear about ebay is of people getting ripped
off, i wouldn't want my company being associated with that kind of thing,
The wording of your advert was very 'better ware' catalogue type, (or even
like those JML adverts in the pound shop) slightly patronizing, aimed at
people who don't know a spanner from a screwdriver,
Anyway, who cares.. i already have a jump start power pack.. bought it for
£16.99 at makro, exactly the same one as the cheaper one sold by machine
mart for double the price... and just that..cheap,
