I have just started drawing a railroad track in AutoCAD, but I need
the precise measurements of the tracks to do this. I'm using Märklin
tracks but the measurements are only with one decimal and I need them
more precise.
I want to know if any of you have some more precise measurements ?

I know it's tempting to draw in a cad programme to a precision of 0.01 mm
(I've done it myself) but when it comes to track planning it doesn't make
sense. You may have to buy a few pieces of track and points and measure them
yourself to realise this.

What I do is draw my track to full size then when ploting scale the
drawing. Works everytime for me and you get the correct layout of the
track. At the end of the day there is nothing like useing the real
thing for dimemsions and producing scaled down versions.

I have made the drawing, so 1 unit = 1 mm, and even with 8 decimals
but I still can't get it right. In the Märklin catalog the
measurements are also in mm, but with one or sometimes zero decimals.
I any of you have tried something similiar, then I would like to see
the template you've made.
