Moving Centec 2a?

How heavy is the machine? How many people would it take to move it? To
cart it up a flight of stairs? Can it be disassembled into single-person
loads?

I sold mine a few months ago, moving it from the workshop, and into a
van, so I have some experience, and I can assure you it is impossible to
move the machine single handed in one piece. Even two people would
struggle to move it safely on level ground, let alone up stairs.

I had the assistance of the purchaser and an engine crane to dismantle
it into four major sections that were small enough, light enough, and
stable enough to move on a sack barrow through two doorways with raised
thresholds. The engine crane was used again to lift the machine base
into the van, the other sections could be manually lifted.

Bear in mind the complete machine is top heavy and you really don't want
it to fall over, which is another good reason to dismantle.

the nett weight of the bench machine is 290 lbs and nett weight of
pedestal is 360 lbs (I assume that includes the mill).
