Hello David,

I have used both, and would have to say that for your plot you may well
appreciate the human-propelled version more so.

Your longest pass would be about 13, maybe 14 steps, at the end of each pass
you will be pivoting the mower. The added weight of a self propelled may
negate (during the pivot) any benefit you may feel during the pass. In
short, you may end up just as tired with the self propelled.

For this size plot, you may be happier with a lighter weight no-frills that
would be much more manuverable. (plus you save money at time of purchase,
and down the road,... self propelled has more moving parts, and you would be
engaging/disengaging the "transmission" quite often in a yard this size)

Check them out side by side, and act out the pivot action you do when
mowing. The low cost models have become really light weight in the last
decade, and you may be doing about 14 of these dancing pivots.

Best Regards,

Jeff Gossett

Not big enough to warrant a self-propelled one unless you're
particularly infirm.
