LIDL bamboo is a fancy houseplant, grown in myriads in the Netherlands and
exported Europe-wide. It is however misnamedly sold as 'Bamboo', The plant
isn't bamboo. Its a regular weed from the Asian ricefields (so very rare in
EUROPE!).
As a rice-plant neighbour it does need light, warmth and moist soil.

Isn't this that thing they stick in the top of plastic tubes so that
it looks like a green mop? If so, its a moderately tender species of
Scirpus and being a member of the bulrush & sedge family, is not
remotely related to the bamboo.

Thank you - do you have a Latin name? It doesn't look much like what I
think of as Bamboo, to be honest; as I said, it's - superficially -
more like a Carex.
