Plum Tree Leaf Curl

I'm hoping you can help me. Every year the leaves of my 2
Victoria plum trees curl under and inwards and I think there are
tiny little 'beasties' underneath. It doesn't do any harm to
the fruit, but it looks rather unsightly. I don't want to spray
the trees once the fruits are there and in the past, all I have
done is to remove the most badly affected leaves. Is there
something else I could be doing? Does anybody recognise the
problem?

Yes, it sounds like Aphids, (greenfly)
I spray the leaves with a weak soap solution , this mostly works.
Doesn't affect the fruit either.
