Shelf Life of Grass Seed

I have purchased a bag of grass seed that is way more than I really needed.
My question is, will this seed keep for use next year, and if so, is there
an optimal way or storing it?

Yes, your grass seed can be kept for several years, maybe with a
slightly lowering germination rate as time goes on. Make sure that the
seed is really dry, put it into a paper or linen (not plastic) bag, then
store that in a tin or box in a cool dry place.

Yes, and dark/cool/dry. I sowed some this year that had been kept for 2
years in a garden shed (dark/warm/dry) and it grew well.

Just like to add fresh seed can be stored up to 3 years without much loss in
germination is stored properly
