It's more complicated than that - I'd rather see limestone pavement stay in
situ along with the wildlife that depends on it, but assuming there's a
market for it I'd rather see people earn a living quarrying Shap granite
than being paid my taxes as dole money, or forced to work as tour guides in
'DisneyLakes'.
