We have two pomegranate plants grown from seed which have overwintered
well (wrapped in fleece and put in a plastic cold frame outdoors in
London). The plants are now four years old, approx 2ft high. While
they look healthy, I haven't fed them and wonder if I should give them
something and if so, what? Any recommendations gratefully received.

I leave mine outside, unprotected, and we are colder than you are.
It was cut back hard the winter before last, but recovered well.
They like heat, but aren't as tender as might appear.

Anything will do - I use Miracle Grow.

I grew some from seed several years ago. I have put them in a
sheltered spot in the winter in the past but last winter I did not
bother - I lost two out of three of the ones I had left! I have never
fed them so it looks as though we shall both be reported to the RSPCTP.

Like most such plants, they absolutely HATE waterlogging in cold
weather.
