Suggestions Please - Vegetables I Can Grow in the Shade

Folks,

Part of my garden is under shade most of the time - any suggestions what
vegetables I can grow (Planting from now on)

I'd like to grow more than 1 type of vegetable.

Sloe, houttounia cordata, maybe mint or elder. Look at plants foraged from the forest edge, there are several more. If trees are an option there's plenty to choose from.

Sloes are yum with the right culinary treatment, but vile if the recipe's wrong. One effective approach is to cook, dilute them down to 10% (eg with apple) and add a ton of saccharin.

You say under shade, from what?
most of the time, when is it not in shade?
Does the shade also keep the rain off?
What sort of soil do you have?
What part of the UK/world are you?

If you can put in plants rather than try to grow from seed you will do
better, and remember to give every plant moire room than you would in

No, the shade doesn't keep the rain off.

I've never tested the soil - perhaps I should. (I'm a novice gardener &
first started growing veg last year)

I'm located in East Fife, Scotland (30 miles North of Edinburgh)

The area of garden is roughly 10' x 10'
I grew potatoes on it last year with limited success, due maybe to the poor
weather we experienced ???.
