Very often poor results from tomatoes are a result of over feeding
rather than the other way round. If you do feel that the soil you are
growing them in is poor, a very good way of correcting the problem is by
using nettle infusion. That can be applied as a foliar feed and the
plant will take in just as much as it needs. It also improves the
flavour of the fruit.

I am no expert on tomatoes, but I have had very good results with a variety
called tumbler (an F1 hybrid). The seeds are quite expensive, but they are
well worth it. They grow in hanging baskets and give an excellent yield of
delicious cherry tomatoes. It's probably a bit late to grow them from seed
for this year, but if you can find some plants in a garden centre, then snap
them up!

Best wishes
