Homebase Bulb Bargains

It might be worth a trip to your local branch of Homebase...

I've just been to mine, and bought:

* 11 /terracotta/ pots of four Crocus for 35p each - if you buy
any, be aware that the pots need to have their drainage holes
punched out - they're sold "sealed", with the bulbs in moss
rather than compost

* 19 pots of four Iris reticulata (some 'Dwarf Blue', some
'Violet Beauty' and some not further identified) for 25p a
pot
and
* a "mini cyclamen (outdoor) for 50p.

At those prices, a miser like me won't mind being patient for 11 months
;-)
