I am trying to grow a Magnolia tree without much success.
I live in Sussex where there are a lot of them about so I guess that
climate and area are OK.
The 1st tree I had was planted at the front of my house where the soil
is clay and the wind can at times be quite breezy and I think it
suffered a bit from the dry weather last year.
I have now bought another one and have moved the location to the back
of the house where it is not quite so breezy but the soil is still
clay. I have mixed the soil with quite a bit of peat and all seems
well. I am keeping it watered every night at the moment.
So if anyone has info that can help It will be appreciated.
Kevin.
