Pruning eucalyptus tree

I have pruned some fairly large branches from a tall eucalyptus tree, do I
need to treat the bare ends in any way ?

Also any tips on preventing Sammy Squirrel burying his nuts in my grass and
pots ?

No , the general feeling these days is to let the owulnds of your trimmed
branches heal themselves. If you must seal them though, just use
candlewax - dripped on.
