I would be grateful if I could have the opinions of any body who has visited
any of the branches and could tell me of their experience.
I used to visit my mother in Stevenage and know the branch there fairly
well. It's a nice afternoon out, they have a good selection of plants which
always looked in good condition. The tea shop is wonderful (Toasted tea
cakes :~)))) )
They also have loads of garden related things to buy as presents for people.
Big car park, friendly staff.
Anything else you want to know?

Expensive. Experiance based on Chenies. They do have a good
water selection - about the only reason I would chose to
go there.

Instant Gardening at its height, very high prices, girls on till no
nothin' but good if you like a day out and general gardening. I could
see no unusual plants and for their size of the place there are very few
shrubs. Mainly displays of 'current' plants to buy tho' the garden shop
bit does have all the normal chemicals etc and other ephemera.
The sort of Garden centre which has a concrete and trellis etc section,
sweets section, a card and gift section and cut price books. Seeds
range is good but compost isn't, Aquarium shop is good apparently but
then it's only a mile from the really specialised water centre by the
M25. But then I knew this place when the Bone brothers ran it and it was
just a tarted up nursery but you could ask questions etc:))

Janet Tweedy did exactly as you asked, very specifically.Did you
want to hear the customer's experience, or the management's mission statement?

I wasn't actually wanting advice of sorts, I wanted some sharp sand and
to know where it was stacked.......... I had to go and look high and low
for it and she couldn't tell me the price because it wasn't on her
sheet:) I thought she could have at least called one of the members of
staff that actually would know, sharp sand is blinking heavy to lug
halfway across the garden centre.
Still I managed to get some cheap labels on offer.

Err, don't you think you should have mentioned that in your first
posting?
The original appeared to come from 'joe public' asking about the place.
