Warping Drain , North Lincs

Hi ,

I have just been down to the Warping Drain between Haxey and Misterton on
the A161.

To my horror several "no fishing" signs have been pinned on all the pathways
leading off the main road.

They were'nt there yesterday , does anyone know what the hell is going on
with this stretch of water ??

I've tried the EA office but its shut , shame I wanted to scream at someone
tonight!!!!!!!!!

As I understand it this is EA owned water which has previously been leased
by Doncaster Angling Club. They no longer lease it therefore one would
assume that control reverts back to the EA. So , if you posess and EA
licence you can fish it .... correct ??? or am I wrong ???

Are there any contact numbers or reasons given for 'No Fishing'? You could
start to wet a line and see who turns up to throw you off, travel light,
roving tactics, just in case it's genuine. Some of the Anti brigade aren't
averse to getting some rather official looking flyers made up and nailing
them to posts near to fishing venues. There was a spate of it on my local
cut that was match fished on a weekly basis.
