I have had a couple of Pike sessions recently at Earlswood and have caught (1
Pike) on each occasion, one @ 13 1/2lbs and one @ 9 1/2lbs.

My mate also had one fish each day so we are not too disappointed, both having
caught "target species" but we are both looking to improve on both size and
amount of fish caught.

Any info on best pegs, best baits and methods would be appreciated. (Also
interested in Kingsbury water park if anyone has any Pike info)

We are using 1/2 lamprey sections at the moment, on bottom, about 30 yards out
(fishing the short feeder line where we expect there to be a few prey fish
about).

Thanks in advance.

Kingsbury is full of 20lbs+ Pike the best lake is bodymoore heath water all
the best fish are taken in the margins, the area to fish where there is
plenty of pike is down the church corner, this area provides the deepest
margins on the lakes. i've took all my fish fishing upto 5 yards out under
the tree's, the best bait i've used is whole herrings, these fish won't
think twice about picking up a 10 inch bait. you need to be fishing with the
church behind you, the peg is called the "BARRELS" if you ask the park
rangers they will put you straight. Bodymoore has thrown up some big fish up
to 29lbs but that was over 4 years ago, it could throw up a 30lbs+ pike now
no problem. the suprising thing is it's £2.00 a day and un-fished!!!!

Try Drayton Reser, there are some very big pike in there, you can only use
dead baits (sea baits) but check with the bailiff before going down there.

I have fished the barrl swims.......when I was there, I saw twom anglers
fucked out of their minds using their Coleman for hot-knifeing.

The Top pike anger in the park was a guy called Col, who fished with a
special isotope dead bait rig. Rocked the Park!!!!!!
