Hello everybody.

I have just collected a car bootfull of parts which I am told will make a
Stuart Turner P6 (5HP @ 1650 rpm - s/n D12A286). It has a marine gearbox
and some extraordinary pipework for the exhaust system, so it has obviously
come out of a boat. Among the parts were a small ignition coil and a
"Dynastart" dynamo/starter motor. Unfortunately all the control wiring has
been cut through and discarded. Can one of you point me in the right
direction of where I can get a manual / drawings.

Many thanks.

My Stuart information came from Keith Duquemin in Guernsey who is the
Stationary Engine magazine Help Line contact for Stuart engines. Keith
is very helpful, and can point you in the direction of the commercial
organisation who currently hold the Stuart sales records for dating
purposes. Keith himself has copies of instruction books / parts lists,
and will photocopy these for you. If you are a SEM subscriber, Keith's
address can be found in the Help Line column - please quote your
subscription number when writing - I sent an SAE, but Keith had to put a
Guernsey stamp on to return information to me as their post office is
now privatised and UK stamps are not accepted - some other way of
reimbursing his costs is recommended (UK cash is ok), though he says he
does it for love not money.

If you are not an SEM subscriber - why not? Its a great read !

You could buy Guernsey stamps from a philatelists, or an International
Reply Coupon, which can be exchanged in Guernsey, or anywhere else in
the world, for return postage to the UK.

Fairways Marine are the people to contact in the UK. They can supply spares and
drawings of most Stuart engines.
