As more people switch to electric or hybrid cars cyclists will have to pay even more tax to support the uneducated. Latest research shows damage to the roads are 6th power of axle loading. Modern bicycles weigh around 10kg and modern cars with all their 'safety' features weigh 2000kg. So if cyclists pay £1 a year thats:

2000/10=200
200E6=10E8

You can build 1000 miles of cycleway for the same cost as 1 mile of motorway
So thats 10E11

You can fit 100 bicycles in the same a amount of road a car uses

So thats £1O billion a year in Road Tax for cars.
