Does anyone know of any free sites or free patterns for Disney cartoon
characters?

My daughter, Abigail, she's 18 months, loves Monsters INC and Toy Story
especially.

Thanks!

Teresa

Disney guard their copyright with a vengence. If anybody is giving out
free Disney patterns, you can be sure they will be shut down in short order.

Free, definitely not. There are some Disney cross stitch kits for sale.
I've done some Winnie the Pooh ones; there are others. If by needlepoint
you mean tent stitch, then the cross stitch patterns from the kits would not
translate, because there are lots of partial stitches.

You could try using one of the free colouring pictures to make your own,
by copying the lines onto the canvas and stitching rather than colouring
in. Or you could use felt to applique the picture. This is really
quick, which is great with kids who change their minds.
