Your wife's imput is very important. The best thing to do, in my opinion as
a sewist of over 65-years, is give her a handmade card offering to take her
to a sewing machine dealer and let her try different machines till she finds
the one she likes.
In fact, this is the same advice I gave a son-in-law today, because he wants
to buy his wife a new machine to sew for the grandchild expected in May.
