(my week for apologies) - with the exception of two clues, I've done the crossword, but my mailing from work with the answers has not made it the three miles from the office! The two clues I DON'T know are the one about the mercenery and the one about the chunk of wood - any offers of help on these appreciated. The others I can probably remember if you need help with them, so remind me of the clue by email and I will let you have the answer - I'm not in the office tomorrow, so the solution will be posted NO LATER than Thursday night minus the missing ones. I can remember that the wordfinder is THE MUNSTERS and that DEFinitials this week is Frank Spencer - details of this at www.radiotimes.com/definitials

In case no one else has done them yet...

"Venal" is the "mercenary" answer (it is a hidden word)

"Balsa" is the raised wood chunk. "A slab" backwards!

Hope that helps and let me know if you disagree.

Good Luck everyone
