A Singer - Bob Dylan
A Kind Of Pig ?
A Leather Worker ?

Hope these ideas are helpful.
A Stone - 14 pounds
A kind of pig - Guinea (21 shillings)
A leather worker - Tanner (sixpence)
50% of panties - half of knickerbockers = knicker - £1
Hit repeatedly - ?hammer means to pound
Sorry, can't think what the other answers are at the moment but I'll get my
thinking cap on!
As for old money (oh dear, I can remember it!) :-
4 farthings = 1 penny
2 halfpennies = 1 penny
12 pennies = 1 shilling - also known as a bob
20 shillings = £1
21 shillings = 1 guinea
2 shillings and sixpence = half a crown
5 shillings = a crown
there were also threepenny bits and halfpennies
240 pennies = £1
Jane
> A Stone ?
14 pounds
> A Bycycle - Penny Farthing ?
Yep A penny and a farthing (a farthing is/was a quarter of a penny)
Takes us up to 14 pounds and a panny farthing
> A Singer - Bob Dylan
Could be... a Bob is a shilling, but I would say they're looking for a
complete name that represents money.
> A Kind Of Pig ?
Guinea? (1 pound and one shilling)
15 pounds 1 shilling and a penny farthing
> A Leather Worker ?
A Tanner (sixpence)
15 pounds 1 shilling 7 and a farthing
> Part Of A Monkeys Leg ?
Well a monkey is 500 quid... so that doesn't help
> Sun,Moon And Pluto ?
Star, satellite and planet? Doesn;t get us anywhere does it.
> Royal Head Dress - Crown ?
Aye, a Crown is 5 shillings
15 pounds, 6 shillings 7 pennies and a farthing
> 50% Of Panties ?
Half a knicker? or Ten Bob.. ten shillings
15 pounds, 16 shillings 7 pennies and a farthing
> Hit Repeatedly ?
Pound?
16 pounds, 16 shillings 7 pennies and a farthing
> Unwell Sea Creature - Sick Squid ( six quid )?
Yep six quid, six pounds
22 pounds, 16 shillings 7 pennies and a farthing
> A Mans Name - Bob ?
Another shilling
22 pounds 17 shillings 7 pennies and a farthing
So if we're looking for 32 pounds 17 shillings 8 and a half p.
we are now 10 pounds 1 penny and a farthing short and needs to come from
A singer,
Part of a Monkeys Leg, and
Sun, Moon and Pluto
[There are 12 pennies in a shilling and 20 shillings in a pound, so 240
pennies in a pound.]
Any more for this one?

Well ... a singer is a Tenor, leaving 1 penny and 1 farthing to go
Sun, Moon & Pluto are all far-things so they are three-farthings, leaving two
farthings or a half-penny (often pronounced hape'ny).
So where does the Monkey's leg bit fit in to a half-penny??

Hello :o)Singer = Tenor (Tenner)
Sun Moon & Pluto = Far things (farthing)
so the monkeys leg must be the penny.

If it's any use, here is a small lexicon of 'old money' words:-
sixpence = tanner shilling = bob two shillings = florin half a crown (2/6d) =
two and a kick (This may be regional) ten shillings = half a sheet (ditto
above line) Guinnea = 21 shillings There are various slangs used by the
betting/car selling fraternity., eg a monkey, (£50, I think), a score
(£20).........god, I'm starting to bore MYSELF!
Good luck
zzzzzzzzz
this should be the lot
