Do any of you know where I can purchase anti-balling plates (fitted to the
underside of Grivel 2F crampons) in the UK - preferably Scotland ?

I got mine from Taunton Leisure (Birmingham branch). There's two types - old
2f and new 2f so make sure you know wot you got. Old 2f = Ł10.

Funny name you got. Are you the email account of the artist formally known
as Prince?

Field and Trek did them mail order 18 months ago, probably still do ( no
catalogue to hand).
they 8do* make a big difference.... bit fiddly to get on if you've got the
newer style 2Fs.

I am afraid that these are unavailable in the UK at present unless you
can find a shop that still has some old ones in stock. The reason is
that Grivel now include a pair with every set of 2Fs sold and their
entire production goes into these crampons. We have complained to the
importers (Troll) about it but so far to no avail.

Graham Tiso - The Dundee shop, used to stock them.
It's probably worth giving them a ring.
I Don't have the number to hand, sorry.

I suspect he either bought an "old" pair or they had taken then out to
sell to someone else!

I'm pretty sure they are the importers/distributors and should know which
shops they are supplying.
