cotswold bettws sent mine off for me - advised aginst local high st jeweller
replacement cos they tend not to do the seal properly - could be a ripoff but i
wouldnt chance it to save a couple of quid

I did one myself.
It is a little delicate taking it apart.
Use a very small blade to unclip the battery retaining clip gently.
The downward pointing bit in the centre of the clip is a contact and
only justr touches onto the contact in the bottom (as you look at when
open.)
Check which way up you have to replace the new battery before you take
the old one out.
Just make sure that you seat the sealing ring back in it's groove.
The new battery is a standard watch tyope one you can get from any
Dixons (where I got mine.)
