I have a problem with my VW polo. I got it back from a service in
which the oil and oil filter were changed as well as the exaust and
when I got it back, something was wring with the car. When I push the
throttle at low revs - 1500rpm (i.e coming out of a roundabout) the
car seems to jump for few seconds and does not accelerate much until
high revs are reached by the engine and then it seems as if it engages
and responds well. On the motorway, as long as the car is kept above
2500 rev, the car behaves ok, but it seems that as soon as the car is
asked to reponds at low revs the engine seem to struggle.
At the same time, when I remove the foot from the throttle and the
revs go down, the engine reaction is rough and de-accelerates with
small jumps.
Does anyone know what this engine behaviour could be related to? All I
can think of is that it should be related to what the garage has done
to the car while servicing, as the car run smothly before the service.
I have already taken the car to the garage and got it back in the same
condition after being charged £70.
condition after being charged Ł70.
Maybe a dirty throttle body ?
Check that when they fitted the new pipe that they didn't use to much
jointing sealer and that the flow is now restricted.
