I am the proud new owner of a 1973 combi van which is my pride and joy.
I am looking for a local person or club where I can find out how best to
look after it, where the respectable, trustworthy garages are, and just
learn about the idiosyncrasies of it without having to rely on trial and
error.
If you can help me please drop me a line:

Bolton & Bury VW Club, probably the most varied and established club in the NW.
Lots of experience and bits.
Meet 2nd & 4th Wednesday of the month, Railway Hotel, Bromley Cross, Bolton.
