Since fitting a new battery the alarm doesn't work at all, I have been told
I need to carryout a reset procedure ?
Any help/suggestions appreciated.

Proper method for MS707:
Remove the fuse in the 12V feed to the alarm (15A I think).
Turn ignition to accessory position.
Replace fuse.
Press reset button on alarm - this is down the tiny hole to the right
of the lower set of wiring plugs.
Get in car, shut doors and turn off ignition.
Reprogram your remotes:
Turn ignition to accessory position.
Press and hold alarm programming button (hidden on dash somewhere)
Press button on remote. Alarm should chirp.
Press button on any other remotes. Alarm will chirp on them too.
Release programming button.
Turn off ignition.
My method - works almost every time:
Ignition to accessory position.
Press reset on alarm.
Reprogram remotes as above.
Either way, if the alarm goes off, press the reset button. You'll need
a small screwdriver or something about 1mm wide to press the reset
button with.
Incidentally, you're supposed to perform this every time you disconnect
and reconnect the battery. I've found that if you remove the power for
less than 2 hours, you can just reconnect it and it'll all work fine
without resetting it.

for programming the remote's etc
Do you know where the switch is for programming the remotes, I have looked

Which wire should I follow as I cannot find a remote program switch
anywhere. ?

I think it's a green wire with a yellow stripe, but I could be wrong.
You get a small pushbutton switch with the alarm (I fitted mine
myself), which takes this to earth when you press it.
It's used for enabling/disabling the different sensors as well so it's
worth finding!
I'll have a look for the manual tonight and let you know tomorrow. I
can probably scan and email the diagram at the back if you want...
