The caravan light is used when you have a towbar and are towing a
trailer (or caravan, for that matter). It is supposed to show that the
lights on the rear of the trailer flash along with the car's indicators.
Not sure about the tyre sizes - though AFAIK all Metro's had 12
inch wheels until the redesigned version came out in 1990.
Mike
IIRC they're metric sizes designed to go with the Dunlop run
flat tyres that were all the rage at the time.

I believe not. You can still buy metric tyres (at an inflated price,
economys of scale and all that) or it's a wheel changing job.

To make it do that you have to fit the proper (different from
standard) flasher relay, which isn't fitted as standard. You'll
probably also need to fit the actual bulb, 'cos I've never actually
seen one come fitted.

No. They are indeed an unusual size. Irritating, expensive, but unavoidable.
Mark 1 metros had 12 inch wheels, (and sensible tyres) which fit mark 2
cars. So 5 from the scrap yard (or a cheap scrap car) and sell any
usable metric wheels and tyres to anyone who hasn't had the same idea.

This is the Caravan Proximity Warning Lamp. It lights when there's a slow
moving caravan within a mile in front, so you can accelerate to such a speed
to allow you to pass.
More modern cars have much greater acceleration and so don't need this lamp.
LOL!

Anti-Spam Measures: Remove the reference to petrol
I was thinking here we go, there is going to be a punch line - then I see
it's from a Mondeo owner, calling other cars slow. LOL Now that is amusing.
